
William Sieghart is a member of Reprieve's Board of Trustees.
Co-founder and Chairman of Forward Thinking, William has a distinguished career in publishing and the arts. The founder of National Poetry Day, the Forward Poetry Prize, the Big Arts Week and Bedtime Reading Week, he also founded StreetSmart: Action for the Homeless, and is a governor of the British Institute of Human Rights. William is chairman of the Arts Foundation, was a member of the Arts Council from 2000 – 2006, and is chairman of its Lottery Panel.
William’s experience of presenting charitable and cultural issues to the public, together with his knowledge base of influential supporters, provides Reprieve with a very useful mentor in the field of communications and fundraising.
