Rebecca graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BA in political science and an LLB (Hons) degree in 2008.
During her time studying, Rebecca volunteered at the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service in Melbourne, and North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Darwin. Rebecca completed a Reprieve internship at the Gulf Region Advocacy Centre (GRACE) in 2006.
After graduating, Rebecca completed her legal training at Victoria Legal Aid, and was admitted to practice in Victoria in 2009. She then worked as a criminal lawyer for Victoria Legal Aid before starting her EC fellowship in October 2011.
