Katie works on Reprieve’s Life after Guantanamo Project, helping to facilitate the resettlement of ex-Guantanamo prisoners in Europe.
Katie holds a BA from Brown University in International Relations and a Master’s of International Affairs from Columbia University. She speaks Arabic.
Katie joined Reprieve from War Child UK where she was both the Field Director for the Iraq programme and the Programme Development & Grants Co-ordinator for the Iraq and Afghanistan programmes. Prior to that, she worked in Palestine for eight years on human and child rights issues for a variety of local and international agencies, including the Palestinian National Authority. Katie started at Reprieve in October 2010.
