Dr Kate Gavron

Dr Kate Gavron is a member of Reprieve's Board of Trustees.

Kate is also Chair of Carcanet Press, the poetry publisher, and on the board of Folio Holdings, the holding company for the Folio Society. After a career in book publishing, Kate completed a PhD on the Bangladeshi community of East London. She published The New East End (Profile Books) in 2006, co-authored with Michael Young and Geoff Dench. She has also been a trustee of various organisations including the Young Foundation, George Piper Dances (Ballet Boyz) and the Runnymede Trust.
