Jo Martin is a member of Reprieve's Board of Trustees.
Jo works as a senior solicitor specialising in employment and discrimination law at Soho-based firm Simons Muirhead & Burton.
Her practice covers a wide range of employment law matters including discrimination, whistle-blowing and employee terminations. Jo is the author of the Tolley's looseleaf chapter on Sex Discrimination, and regularly presents seminars on a variety of employment law topics. Her clients include senior individuals, public bodies, media companies, retailers and charities.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Jo spent five months as a Reprieve Volunteer at the Louisiana Crisis Assistance Center in New Orleans, assisting with the cases of defendants facing the death penalty. Jo has served on the Reprieve Board since 2002.
