| Joe Hingston, Reprieve Investigator 
Joe is the former lead investigator at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center in New Orleans. Focussing on both the culpability and mitigating stages of capital trials, Joe led the investigation on scores of death penalty cases in America’s Deep South for six years.
Prior to his position in the United States, he has worked with disadvantaged children in London’s East End and helped develop community projects in deprived areas across England. He became a Reprieve Volunteer in 2000 with what was then the Louisiana Crisis Assistance Center.
He is currently working on the cases of British nationals facing the death penalty in the United States. Joe is also a practicing criminal defence barrister at in London.
