Agent Provocateur and Lush cosmetics helped Reprieve launch the Fair Trial My Arse campaign which sought to educate the public about the lack of access to justice for prisoners in Guantánamo.
The initiative highlighted the plight of British resident Binyam Mohamed, as well as our now released client, Al-Jazeera journalist, Sami Al Haj.
The ‘Fair Trial My Arse’ Agent Provocateur underwear and Reprieve placards opened Vivienne Westwood’s London Fashion Week show in February 2008 - attracting news coverage around the world and appearing in Agent Provocateur stores in London, Manchester, LA and Las Vegas.
The initiative also took place in over 80 Lush stores across Britain, where leaflets were given out and products sold to raise money and awareness. Comedians Bill Bailey, Kevin Eldon and Robin Ince donned the FTMA briefs and were on hand to support the campaign outside Lush's Regent Street store in March 2008.
Reprieve director Clive Stafford-Smith was also on hand to deliver Prime Minister Gordon Brown his very own pair straight to Number 10, in a briefcase of course.
