Clive Stafford Smith joins the panel of No Pressure to be Funny (Critics' choice - The Guardian) for its return to the West End on 12th October at 8pm.
No Pressure To Be Funny is a topical comedy panel show with a difference: No Competitions, No Captains, No Captions. Created by former Perrier nominee Nick Revell and Comedy Store ‘Cutting Edge’ regular Alistair Barrie, the two hour show is presented by LBC’s James O’Brien and broadcast as a thirty minute podcast on the British Comedy Guide.
Guests from the worlds of comedy, media, politics, charity and academia join James to discuss the events of the week alongside comedy songs, monologues and diatribes. Our panel have the licence to be as funny, irreverent or indeed as serious as they like – hence the title.
The Leicester Square season kicks off with panel show genius and NP2BF regular Andy Hamilton, journalist Miranda Sawyer, human rights lawyer and founder of Reprieve, Clive Stafford Smith, with music from Radio 4 regular Mitch Benn. Previous guests have included Jack Dee, Jeremy Hardy, Lee Hurst, Dan Smith (Secretary General of International Alert) and Talksport’s Matt Forde.
