Bake a cake for Reprieve's sake!

.Celebrate Reprieve’s ten year anniversary by baking an Orange Birthday Cake.

Reprieve celebrates our tenth birthday this November and we’d like to invite you all to celebrate with us. Join in by taking an orange cake to work. It’s a fantastic way of raising awareness and funds for Reprieve.

Show your solidarity for the people we represent. While Reprieve marks the tenth anniversary of fighting for justice, our clients mark the number of years behind bars, their years without access to justice and their years without seeing their family.

Please do what you can to help these men and women, by bringing their cases to the attention of those around you with cake. The idea is simple: take a tasty orange cake into work on the 30th November and have a cake sale for Reprieve.

It's easy - all you have to do is bake your orange cake, take it into work on Monday or hold a coffee morning and sell slices to friends or colleagues for a pound or two a slice (We'll leave that up to you). It's a great opportunity to talk about your support for Reprieve's work, and you can even print off a few of the 'About Reprieve' documents on this page to provide people with more information. How to make your Reprieve birthday cake:

Ingredients

2 eggs
6ox self-raising flour
4 tablespoons of milk
6oz sugar
4oz margarine
1 orange
3 tablespoons of icing sugar

Method

1) grate orange
2) squeeze the juice and put it to one side
3) mix all the ingredients together, except the juice and the icing sugar
4) pour mixture into a non-stick cake tin
5) bake at 350f for 45 minutes
6) melt icing sugar and juice together
7) after baking, prick cake and pour on the liquid, leave to cool in the
tin and remove when cold
