
Damien Régent is a member of Reprieve's Board of Trustees.
Damien is a City banker turned business mentor and social entrepreneur. After a career in the City, he works with several startups and early-stage businesses to help them grow their operations. More generally, he uses his business and financial experience to help ambitious entrepreneurs convert their product ideas into successful businesses. Damien also supports entrepreneurs as a business mentor at PRIME, a charity set up by HRH The Prince Charles.
In banking, Damien built a solid expertise in the analysis of business and financial strategies, as well as in the mitigation of business risks in complex organisations. Over time, he became a well-recognised credit and financial institutions specialist. In his most recent position in the City, he was a Managing Director in the debt capital markets division of a leading investment bank.
Damien has postgraduate degrees in banking and finance from both French and UK universities. He started his career in Madagascar, where he managed a portfolio of loans given by the French development bank to small and medium-sized businesses. He was born in France, and settled in London in the mid-1990s.
