As Executive Director, Clare manages all aspects of Reprieve's work and co-ordinates certain litigation.
Clare worked as a litigator in a commercial law firm for eight years, where she was made partner at the age of 28 and led significant pieces of civil litigation. Clare then made the obvious career progression from corporate law firm to human rights NGO: she moved to Reprieve 3 years ago as its Executive Director.
Clare's great strength is in her ability to create an open and inspiring space which allows the staff team at Reprieve to do what they do best. She leads on all strategic matters, manages the senior management team and plays a central role in representing the organisation publically.
As well as numerous national media appearances on behalf of Reprieve, she has built relationships with our significant donors and stakeholders to very successful effect such that since she joined Reprieve it has grown from 15 to 30 staff and its budget has increased by more 100%.
