Chris Chang

As an Investigator on the Guantánamo team, Chris gathers information to support the legal defence of Reprieve’s clients.

Chris previously mentored vulnerable children at Chance UK.  He then went on to work for a music charity where he managed music-based workshops for young people in London.   Before coming to Reprieve, he helped young people permanently excluded from school to reintegrate into education and employment.

Chris studied French and European studies at UWE Bristol and received the European Institute of Education and Social Policy Best Interpreter Prize in 2000. He wrote his dissertation on the problems facing young people of immigrant origin in France.

Chris is also a rapper with the Hip Hop band FULLeBLUNT, and has run music workshops for young people in deprived areas of London.
