Today (January 11th) marks the 11th year anniversary of the first men being taken to Guantanamo Bay. Over that period 779 men have been held at the prison. 166 remain, the majority of whom are held with neither charge nor trial. 56 men have been cleared for release - an arduous process that requires unanimous agreement by no less than six federal US agencies.
Throughout the day we will be tweeting information about the men still held at the prison, blogs, and words from Shaker Aamer's diary of abuse.
