Work for Reprieve

Current Vacancies

Executive Director:

An opportunity to lead one of the UK’s most exciting, dynamic and ground-breaking charities.

This is you – reading your morning newspaper, trawling the headlines. Your eyes, as usual, head to stories about abuses of government power. A man on the execution gurney in Oklahoma takes forty-three minutes to die. A paraplegic man in a wheelchair is one of 8,261 people set to be hanged in Pakistan. A bride’s wedding day is destroyed by the blast of a US drone. An innocent man in Guantánamo is so desperate he’s on hunger strike – and his force-feedings were caught on tape.

You believe the death penalty is no way for a State to handle crime. You think torture and drone attacks are both senseless and short-sighted foreign policy. You also happen to be creative, super smart, and unafraid to stand up to the world’s most powerful governments.

We want you to join us.

We are looking for a new Executive Director. The person we need is intelligent and fearless. S/he will feel energised by the goal of changing the world. S/he will enjoy leading and working with some of the most talented people in this field. Her/his most important qualification is a passion for justice.

S/he will have significant experience in the charitable or legal or journalistic field and will be notable for her/his open leadership ability.

Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for more information about the role. To apply, please send a copy of your C.V. and covering letter to by midnight on the 21st October 2015.
