| Harris County Executes 100th Person 27.07.07
Lonnie Johnson was executed in Texas on Tuesday. He was sentenced to death in 1994 for the murder of two white teenagers in 1990 and always maintained that he acted in self-defence. The execution was the 19th in Texas this yearand the 100th in Harris County since the death penalty was re-instated in 1976.
